The theme park Port Ventures in Salou (Tarragona) was the
site of the second round of the Spanish Outdoor Trials
Championship. Albert Cabestany finished in fourth place
and the young factory rider Dani Oliveras debuted the
newly revised Sherco 3.2 4T.
With his fourth place finish today, Cabestany managed to
reduce the deficit between him and Doug Lampkin in the
provisional classification. The test of Tarragona was
marked by sections that were not extremely difficult as
shown by the low scores. Albert recorded the third best
score in the second lap but his combined score placed him
in fourth place overall. The low scores kept the Sherco
rider from recovering any positions in the overall
classification after an irregular first lap.
One of the competitors today was Dani Oliveras who was
competing for the first time in world class competition on
the newly revised Sherco 4T. The young man has shown great
potential and this test was a very good introduction for
him and the bike. Next week (1 April) he will be competing
on the 4T in the first round of the Outdoor World
Championship which will be held in Mancha Real (Spain)
In senior B, David Millán won a decisive victory and in
the Veterans Class, Nazario Garcia was the winner; in fact
Sherco riders won the first four places in this class.
Cabestany cuarto y excelente debut de Oliveras con la 4T
El
parque temático Port Aventura en Salou (Tarragona) ha
acogido la segunda prueba del campeonato de España de
trial outdoor. Albert Cabestany ha logrado la cuarta plaza
final en un trial marcado por el debut del joven piloto
dee Sherco, Dani Oliveras, a los mandos de la nueva Sherco
3.2 de 4 tiempos.
Con este resultado, Cabestany consigue reducir diferencias
respecto a Doug Lampkin en la provisinal del campeonato.
La prueba de Tarragona ha estado marcada por el entorno
donde estaban marcadas las zonas, un escenario y unas
condiciones poco habituales. El recorrido se ha mostrado
poco selectivo como lo demuestran las bajas puntuaciones
obtenidas por los pilotos en la segunda vuelta, en la que
Cabestany ha conseguido el tercer mejor parcial. Estas
bajas puntuaciones han impedido al piloto tarraconense
poder recuperar posiciones, después de una primera vuelta
irregular.
Uno de los protagonistas del día ha sido Dani Oliveras. El
joven piloto gerundense afrontaba su primera competición
con una mecánica 4 tiempos. El binomio ha mostrado un gran
potencial y esta prueba le habrá servido a Oliveras para
acomodarse a la nueva montura ante el inminente estreno
del mundial el próximo fin de semana en Mancha Real
(Jaén).
En senior B, David Millán ha logrado imponerse con
claridad y también Nazario García ha conseguido la
victoria en veteranos, categoría en la que Sherco ha
copado las cuatro primeras plazas. |
